Ever since I gave birth to my two adorable babies, I’ve had a hard time amping up the motivation to work out. But, of course, I know it’s something that I should do for myself and for my new family. And so, even though it’s hard for me to pick myself up off the couch after chasing around my three-year-old, I force myself to do it. One of the ways that have helped me stay motivated is to constantly remind myself about all the things I’m doing to become a fit mom in 2022.
For example, when I look at my long list of healthy habits, it reminds me that even though it doesn’t always feel like it, I have been slowly becoming a fit mom. And here are some of the things that I’ve done so far:
-I drink at least 8 glasses of water every day (with no soda or juice)
-I always get seven hours of sleep per night (at least!)
-I eat fruit with every single meal (or at least try to!)
-I’ve worked up the courage to wear yoga pants all the time (even in public)
-I have cleaned out my entire house of junk food, cupcakes, and all things unhealthy.
-I walk around town with my kids (instead of driving).
And if you had told me ten years ago that I would be doing all of these things, I would have laughed in your face! Haha.
But just because it’s hard for me to become a fit mom doesn’t mean that it can’t happen. Keep reading for some more fun facts about becoming a fit mom in 2022:
4 Fit Mom Fun Facts
-I walked 6 miles yesterday, which was the most steps I’ve walked in years.
-I haven’t had a drop of coffee or Coke Zero in three months.
-My kids think they are getting snake juice instead of real juice because it’s that healthy.
-My daughter just said to me, “Mama! You’re so skinny!” and she’s right – I am down 8 pounds since my last checkup at the doctor. And this number keeps going up every day that I do all these things for myself!
So if you see me out and about with my kids dressed up as animals, don’t be surprised by how great I look. There is no need for plastic surgery when you can become a fit mom in 2022 by doing a few small things each day.
Working Mom Diet and Exercise Tips
-Keeping your house stocked with healthy snacks helps you avoid temptation. Imagine walking past a big bowl of apples or oranges, or maybe some kale chips! Of course, you’ll want to eat these instead of the junk food that’s calling your name from inside the pantry.
-Scheduling time for working out – even if it’s only 15 minutes every other day – will help you feel better about yourself and more motivated to try new things.
-Don’t feel bad about spending money on personal trainers, workout classes, gym memberships, etc. It is definitely worth it when you see all this extra money in your bank account at the end of each month thanks to your increased energy levels!
-Find work-at-home jobs so you can avoid the energy-sucking commute.
-Becoming a morning person is one of the most effective ways to increase your productivity, so try getting up earlier each day.
-Find new friends who are also trying to work out and become fit moms in 2022 along with you! Having people to encourage and inspire you every step of the way will help you reach all of your goals. And remember that if anyone ever makes fun of you for wanting to be healthy, just tell them that there’s no need for negativity – this is your journey and yours alone. So keep making those small steps toward becoming a fit mom in 2022! After all, we only have one body and we should treat it like a temple! 🙂
-Write down your goals and maybe even put them somewhere where you can see them each day. It helps to see your long-term vision for yourself when things get tough!
-Have a cheat meal one day per week. This will keep you from feeling deprived during your weight loss journey and help you avoid tempting the wrong foods (like that carton of ice cream in the freezer or those chocolate chip cookies that someone brought in to work).
After all, we only have one body and we should treat it like a temple! 🙂
I hope these fit mom tips inspire you to take better care of yourself so that you don’t turn into a fat mom by 2022! These are just some small changes, but they add up after a while.
