I’m a 74-year-old female and I did yoga up to the age of 70. Two years ago I had two back surgeries and after that, it was hard for me to do some poses. But when you get older you can make adjustments for your limitations. It’s very helpful for me to do yoga to stretch and strengthen my legs. I’m still at a good level of health even though I have a few limitations. But it’s worth any effort if you can find an instructor who is willing to adjust their classes for older participants or to make some changes in order that you’ll be able to learn the poses.

As with many things in life, the more you practice yoga, the better it is the better you’ll get and the more benefits from it you will experience. Yoga is not only about doing asanas (poses) but also about breathing properly and living mindfully. If you take all this into consideration then yoga will become a very helpful tool for staying healthy as you age.

Best Regards!
